Kinde Area Fire Department

KAFD proudly protects an area of 108 square miles with a population of approximately 2600. KAFD operates out of one station that protects a primarily rural area. KAFD is a public department and our firefighters are on a paid-on-call status. KAFD services Dwight, Lincoln, and Meade townships. KAFD provides and receives mutual aid to and from the Port Austin, Bad Axe, Caseville, Port Hope, and Elkton- Oliver Fire Departments.
