This is the newest addition to the Kinde Area Fire Department trucks. We put this 2005 Kenworth rescue truck built by Pierce into service in January of 2006.

KAFD proudly protects an area of 108 square miles with a population of approximately 2600. KAFD operates out of one station that protects a primarily rural area. KAFD is a public department and our firefighters are on a paid-on-call status. KAFD services Dwight, Lincoln, and Meade townships. KAFD provides and receives mutual aid to and from the Port Austin, Bad Axe, Caseville, Port Hope, and Elkton- Oliver Fire Departments.
